Egyptian Sets U19 World Record in Druskininkai

The men’s qualification rounds at the UIPM 2025 U19 World Championships brought history to Druskininkai today.

Egypt’s Omar Amer delivered a spectacular performance in Qualification Group B, scoring 1573 points — a new U19 world record and the highest mark ever achieved at this level. His result places him firmly as the athlete to beat heading into the finals.

Ukraine’s Danylo Babyi (1562 points) and Canada’s Nolan Rosenegger (1552 points) followed closely, proving the incredible depth of competition among the next generation of pentathletes.

Lithuanian athletes fought hard on home soil, gaining valuable international experience despite missing out on the top qualification places.

Tomorrow, August 22, the spotlight turns to the women, with the U19 World Championship Final set to crown a new champion.
